Today was the first day of Spring and the weather could not have been more beautiful here in Myrtle Beach. The weather is looking great for the weekend and there is plenty to do as Spring officially kicks off. Here are just some great events in Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas this weekend.

Diggin' It Spring Garden Festival at Brookgreen Gardens

Event is free with paid garden admission

Brookgreen Garden members and visitors will enjoy an entire day of programs and discussions with some of the top gardening experts in the Southeast and Brookgreen's horticulture staff.

Grand Strand-Pee Dee Walk to Defeat ALS

Check-in at 9 a.m., walk starts at 10 a.m.

Venue: Market Common Myrtle Beach

More than just a few-mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for a cure and to come together for something you care about. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event, which raises funds that allow our local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year.

Spring Swing-Big Band Fest

Location: La Belle Amie Vineyard

Address: 1120 St. Joseph Road

Noon to 5:00 pm

Enjoy a guided vineyard tour (2:30), some exotic wine slushies, and wine sampling. MUSIC (12:30 – 4:30pm) BY: The Andrew Thielen Big Band ADMISSION: $10/person. $3 off if you bring two canned/dry good items for area food banks. Club Members Free.
