Well it may not feel like Spring here in Myrtle Beach but some home owners are already placing their homes on the market, taking advantage of our increasing sales prices and rebounding housing market.
Home owners who have decided to list their homes for sale in Myrtle Beach are showing no hesitation. In fact, their motivation for listing sooner rather than later is to beat the rush of listings that is expected as the beginning of the selling season kicks off.
Much like the rest of the country, Myrtle Beach also experienced a shortage of inventory as the national stats showed a 12-year low leading into the spring. Though the shortages helped increase home prices, it gave buyers limited choices and brought back bidding wars in our market and many markets around the county. New homes in Myrtle Beach are also growing at a rapid pace with a very limited supply of inventory homes, if any. New phases are set to open in many communities and lots are selling faster than anticipated, many times with multiple parties interested in premium lots.
We have definitely seen a rise in buyer activity since the beginning of the year and it is only anticipated to grow as we go further in the year.
