Bike Week in Myrtle Beach is winding to an end this weekend. The extended festival that began on May 10 this year will end on May 19th. Myrtle Beach Bike Week saw a surge in visitors and riders this year and enjoyed gorgeous weather.
From North Myrtle Beach and Little River all the way down to Murrells Inlet and Surfside, riders cruised along the strand lending views to those who watched from the sidelines of gorgeous bikes in all different colors, styles and sizes. Motorcycles of all kinds shared the roads this week, from roadsters to trikes and the occasional sidecar with the family pet. There was a little something for everyone.
Vendors and local businesses enjoyed the surge in activity as more people attended this year's rally than in the past few years. The Myrtle Beach Speedway opened back up this year for the first time in years, to host the bikers. As of Monday there were 23 vendors, live music, stunt shows, and eating contests to be enjoyed. Whether you came to watch, ride "The Loop", or just take a well earned vacation, this year's Bike Week has set a new tone for the future and those who attended this week and in the past say they are looking forward to next year already.
