Heading out this weekend in Myrtle Beach and looking for something to do? Well there is no shortage of good food and good times along the Grand Strand! Here are some ideas to get you started!

The 13th Annual Lip Rippin' Chili Cookoff will take place on Sunday, October 14th, 2012 at Spud's Waterfront Dining in Murrells Inlet from 12:00 to 6:00. There will be live bands, inflatables and face painting for the kids, and delicious chili of all kinds from local restaurants, chefs and individuals. Food samples and drinks are priced separately and admission is free. All proceeds go to the Surfrider Foundation.

Friday Night Wine Tastings at The Market Common will be held October 12, 2012 from 5:30 to 7:30. The tasting is hosted by Travinia Italian Kitchen. The cost per person is $10.00 and it includes wine sample and appetizer pairings.

The Italian Fall Festival takes place at Broadway at the Beach (21st Avenue side, near Visitor Center Parking) on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 7:00 and is sponsored by The Sons of Italy Myrtle Beach Lodge. There will be free live entertainment, awesome Italian food and desserts, souvenirs, beer & wine, and arts and crafts vendors. Free face painting for the kids and play a free game bocce. There will also be a spaghetti eating competition on Sunday at 2:15.
