It may be a little chilly this year but that won't keep us from celebrating the New Year in a big way here on Myrtle Beach. In case you missed our last post with New Years Eve events in Myrtle Beach, we have created an updated post with some additional information for those of you still trying to decide how to ring in the new year.
Myrtle Beach Events
The Market Common: Beginning at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, The Market Common's Southern Times Square will feature entertainment from the Sugar Bees and Painted Man, face painting, beer garden, countdown to their own ball drop, fireworks, food vendors, and more. (Family Friendly)
Broadway at the Beach
Hard Rock Cafe: Beginning at 10:00 pm on December 31, 2014, Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach will feature live music from Black Glass, festive party favors, confetti cannons, balloon drop, and will join in the countdown from Time Square via simulcast. Tickets are available in advance for $25/person or $30/person the day of the event. VIP tickets are available for $75/person and include a three course dinner and reserved table as well. Doors will open at 8:30 pm for VIP ticket holders. Must be 21 or older with valid ID.
Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville: Beginning at 9:00 pm on December 31, 2014, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach will feature live entertainment from the Paul Grimshaw Band, festive party favors, and a shooter at midnight. Cover charge is $15/person or $5/person with the purchase of a select Margaritaville t-shirt from the retail store.
Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach: Beginning at 7:00 pm on December 31, 2014, Celebrity Circle at Broadway at the Beach with celebrate the new year along with Revolutions, Crocodile Rocks, Broadway Louie's, Froggy Bottomz, Club Boca, and Malibu's Surf Bar. Tickets are available for $25/person and include entry into all of the partner clubs throughout the night, balloon drop, confetti cannons, and a champagne toast at midnight. Must be 21 years or old with valid ID. Broadway at the Beach: Beginning at 8:00 pm on December 31, 2014, don't miss the annual fireworks extravaganza over Lake Broadway.
Ripley's Aquarium: Beginning at 8:00 pm on December 31, 2014, Ripley's Aquarium is hosting a New Year's sleepover. This is a kids only event that features karaoke, crafts, pizza, movies, music, dancing, a ball drop, and live simulcast from Time Square. This event is open to those ages 6 to 14 and ends at 8:00 am on January 1, 2015. Tickets are $49.95/child. Reservations are required for this event. (Family Friendly)
Myrtle Beach/Murrells Inlet
Brookgreen Gardens: Beginning at 6:00 pm on December 31, 2014, you can kick off your new year with a candle lit stroll through the sculpture gardens at Brookgreen Gardens. This event takes places from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and features strolling musicians, hand-lit candles, beautiful holiday lights, and performances by the Vocal Edition choral ensemble. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. Tickets are required for this event and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $20.00/person for non members and $15/person for members.(Family Friendly)
North Myrtle Beach
House of Blues: This year the House of Blues features 2 events. Beginning at 7:00 pm, The New Year's Eve Dinner and Dance package features live music from Tru Sol, a four course meal, champagne toast, and party favors. This package also includes tickets for 2015 to the BOGO Gospel Brunch, BOGO Murder Mystery Dinner Theater & 25% off in the Gear Shop. Call 843-272-3000 for tickets and more info. The New Year's Eve 80's dance party featuring Rubix Cube will also begin at the House of Blues at 8:00 pm. VIP experience includes a pre-show dinner buffet, cocktail bar, after show dessert buffet, coffees and live music in the Indigo Room. General Admission tickets are $20 in advance/$25 the day of the show. General Admission with the VIP Experience is $50.
Barefoot Landing: The annual New Year's Eve fireworks display will begin at 7:00 pm over the lake. Visit the local shops, reserve a table at one of the many restaurants Barefoot has to offer, enjoy a carousel ride, and more. (Family Friendly)
